October BBA hosted by Paper Cut Reviews

I interrupt my Countdown to Halloween for this important announcement:

It’s time for BBA’s October book choice and schedule of events on the host blog. The Goodreads group discussions have already begun, so feel free to join in.

Since there seems to be a bit of confusion where BBA is concerned, lets have a little recap. :)

BBA stands for Book Bloggers Anonymous and is a Goodreads group where we discuss one book each month. We have chapter discussions as well as character or general discussions. Though this was originally started as a way for book bloggers to interact and discuss books as we read them, membership is public in the Goodreads group and anyone can join, not just bloggers.

Along with our group discussions, a select group of approved blogs rotate being the host blog for the month. It is up to them to come up with activities, interviews, giveaways, or whatever they feel like for that month’s choice.

Another month has begun so when it came time to choose another book, one of my favorites came up! Jocelynn Drake’s Nightwalker from her Dark Days series. It seems a lot of my fellow BBA members hadn't read it, so I’m so happy that they’ll get a chance to now. I’m going to re-read it too and refresh my memory a bit.

 

For centuries Mira has been a nightwalker -- an unstoppable enforcer for a mysterious organization that manipulates earth-shaking events from the darkest shadows. But elemental mastery over fire sets her apart from others of her night-prowling breed...and may be all that prevents her doom.

The foe she now faces is human: the vampire hunter called Danaus, who has already destroyed so many undead. For Mira, the time has come to hunt or be hunted.

But in a dimension just beyond the worlds boundaries, a banished race stirs dangerously, hungry for power, for domination, for vengeance. Already a protective seal has been breached: already blood flows like a river through the world's great cities.

And only the collaboration of two sworn enemies can save humankind...and its ferel brethern.
