I’ve been thinking about this for a while now. There are so many great bloggers & blogs out there. A lot of which don’t seem to be known about real well, or are new and trying to get the word out about them. So how can I help?
I wanted to start Meet a Blogger Monday mainly for the new bloggers, or less well known ones that would like a little love. This way you get to know them a bit and can go check them out for yourself!
For my first week, I’m happy to have someone whose blog I stalk whenever I have the time. She’s actually been blogging longer than I have, but wanted to get the word out on her blog a bit more. Isn’t this the perfect place to talk about an urban fantasy blog? So let’s kick things off!
Your name: Sara M
Name of Blog: Sara’s Urban Fantasy Blog
Blog Url: http://urbanfantasyreader.blogspot.com/
Country you live in: USA
How long have you been blogging? Almost a year and a half
Are you mainly a book review blog or do you feature/review other things? My blog is strictly about the books and authors I read
What genres do you read/review? Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Young Adult, Paranormal Romance
What age group books do you prefer (middle grade, young adult, adult)? Why? I read both young adult and adult novels. Right now, I’m around the age of those in college or just out of college, and I find that I’m stuck in between the two age groups. I’m older than the young adult main characters, but I’m younger, and in many ways less mature, than the adult main characters. Even though I am finished with college, I’m still searching for that perfect paranormal novel where the main character is in college and stays in college once the paranormal aspect comes to light.
What’s something unique about your blog? I think the way I layout my reviews makes my blog unique. I could never just write a review that flows and gets all my point across. It felt too much like writing a paper for class. And I’ve always hated introductions. So I cut my reviews into four parts: Plot, Pace, Characters, Cover. Each four get a score (1-5 Stars) and then I average those into the overall score. I chose these four parts because they’re what’s important to me in a novel. I include the cover in my reviews because I love covers and like to talk about them.

Meet Sara:
Here’s a bit of a bio: I’m 23, a slightly recent college graduate with a Bachelors in Business Administration (Marketing major/Finance minor), and currently working in retail. I read every chance I get. That includes on my lunch break and during the commercials of my favorite shows. Although the books I read must be paranormal in some way, I tend to watch more “real” television, including The Office and Top Chef. I have three cats that are absolutely nuts, but adorable. And I’ve been dating my girlfriend, Christen, for over four years. That’s me in a nutshell.
Check out Sara’s Urban Fantasy Blog now!
Thanks Sara for letting us get to know you better!
