In My Mailbox (6)

image

In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren & This Week in Books by Pop Culture Junkie

IMM

Ok, so I might have gone a tad overboard this week… But really is it possible to own too many books? I didn’t think so. And sorry if the picture’s a little fuzzy. It’s from my phone, which isn’t very good.

I had another wonderful week with receiving things I’ve won. Thanks again to everyone who sent them! I’m a very happy woman this week!

Won By Me:

From Gracen Miller @ Wicked Thorn and Roses

  • $10 B&N Gift Card
  • Signed card

From Bitten By Books

  • Pretty Dead by Francesca Lia Block

From Un:Bound Blogzine

  • Road Trip of the Living Dead by Mark Henry (signed and snarked)
  • Battle of the Network Zombies by Mark Henry (signed and snarked)

From Book Lovers Inc.

  • Ashes of the Red Heifer by Shannon Baker

Bought By Me:

From the Book Rack (a local used bookstore)

  • Dead Girls Are Easy by Terry Garey
  • A Match Made in Hell by Terry Garey
  • Confessions of a Demon by S.L. Wright
  • Burnt Offerings by Laurell K. Hamilton
  • Death’s Daughter by Amber Benson
  • Through a Crimson Veil by Patti O’Shea
  • A Darker Crimson by Carolyn Jewel
  • The Touch of Twilight by Vicki Pettersson
  • The Taste of Night by Vicki Pettersson
  • The bad thing is I had to stop myself at this point, because there were about 30 other books from my wishlist there that day!

Sent to Me:

From E.J. Stevens

  • Swag! Gorgeous bookmarks for her new book Shadows of Myth & Legend (Don’t worry, they’re not for me.)

Gifts:

A very belated Christmas present from my mom

  • Break of Dawn by Chris Marie Green

From my mom’s friend, just b/c she’s so nice.

  • A frog candle holder w/ a tea light. Isn’t he cute?!

IMM,frog

I think that’s everything. If I forgot something, I’m so very sorry. Just let me know. :)

You had a fab week this week - congrats on your contest wins :o) I really wish we had a good used book store near us but it's probably a good thing we don't - my TBR pile is already way out of control LOL

That is a brilliant stash this week! the taste of Night is a really good UF/Horror book - but I haven't been so keen on the later books. Hope you enjoy!

@Stephanie- Thanks!

@Sarah- Thank you! LOL You should have seen me at the store. I was sitting on the floor surrounded by piles of books and staring at a shelf with my tbr list in my hand. My mom was with me looking for books for my grandmother and hoping I could help her find a book or two, and she was like "Just get some of the books you want." And I was like "These aren't even half of the ones they have from my wishlist!"

@Tori- Thank you! Yeah, I went a little overboard...

@Chrissie- Thanks!

@Kay- Thanks! I read the first book & loved & have been meaning to continue the series for awhile, so here's hoping I like it! *crosses fingers*

WOW! That's an impressive hoard!! Congratulations on your contest wins! I've won a few now and I *love* winning them. Am not entering anything and everything I can find! I know what you mean about not going overboard, I can't really help myself though!

Thats the same issue I have. I have so many books on my wishlist, but I also keep adding to them and picking up ones that aren't even on it.
Great Lot of books you have :)

Glad I a not the only one who went overboard this week. Thankfully I am on spring break and since I am now broke the only thing I can do is read, read, read. Congrats on your wins as well.

froggy is cute. but do tell, what does signed and snarked by mark henry mean???

@Lynsey- Thanks! And good luck w/ you contests!

@The Library Lurker- Thanks, me too!

@Melissa- *sigh* There are just too many books out there and not enough time to read them all. Doesn't mean I can't try to!

@Morgan- Thank you!

@The Book Vixen- Thanks! I love the frog candle holder too! It's so adorable.

@Book Chick City- LOL Didn't think I'd be the only one that thought that. :)

@Jan- I'm finally starting to catch up a little on reading too. So, there's hope for me yet.

@vvb32-LOL, that's what it said I would be getting when I won it. He did write some pretty funny stuff when I signed it. He said it scared him a little since he felt like he was making it out to the character Amanda! Ha! Gotta love Mark Henry!

@Lori- Yeah, I have been rather lucky as of late, but it only works w/ book contests, nothing else.
