Howling At The Moon/Wolf Giveaway
As Amanda has kindly agreed to host this giveaway and because I am also a huge fan of paranormal/urban fantasy books, I thought it would be great to celebrate the launch of my new website ‘Miss Bohemia’ and my Facebook target of 300 fans, with a paranormal themed giveaway!
As an increasing amount of my time is taken up making jewellery and accessories, I don't get to read as much as I would like, but I do often check out Amanda's blog posts (and others) to check out the latest reviews and recommendations, and my book obsessed sister usually provides me with the newest paranormal romance/urban fantasy titles!
I have always loved reading supernatural books, especially ones about vampires, but today’s giveaway is all about those hot blooded shifters! While werewolves were often characterized as being one dimensional i.e. hot tempered, dim witted and totally out of control at times (especially during the change and the full moon), I have enjoyed the introduction of more complex, intelligent and sexy shifters like Alcide (Sookie Stackhouse Novels) and Jacob (Twilight), and also the strong female lead characters such as Elena (The Otherworld Series)! I also enjoy watching ‘True Blood’ (as a separate entity to the books) and the UK series ‘Being Human’!
As someone who is often described as being ‘darkly romantic’, my shop is a mix of gothic fantasy, fairytales and pieces inspired by the Victorian era etc. My wolf inspired pieces include an ‘I Heart Wolves’ Bag charm, a ‘Howling at the Moon’ Ring and my gothic favourites are my ‘Black Rose Filigree Ring’ and my ‘Decadently Dark Neo Victorian Rose Necklace’.
For this giveaway, I have created a Fire and Ice Bag charm to represent the ‘hot blood wolves’ and their nemeses (the cold as ice vampires) and a wolf/moon ‘sweet dreams’ Dream Catcher! I have also included one of my Moonlight’ rings in this paranormal themed prize pack! Favorite shifter is tough - right now I am reading Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs, so I am going with Mercy Thompson, and yes she is one of my favorites along with Kelley Armstrong's Elena Danvers and Carrie Vaughn's Kitty Norville.

Even though I like them both, I think a vempire would definitely win a fight. Shifters are too hotheaded and a lot more vulnerable than vampires. Vempires are already dead!
